With Felipe de Castro, the Vampire King of Louisiana (and Arkansas and Nevada), in town, it’s the worst possible time for a body to show up in Eric Northman’s front yard—especially the body of a woman whose blood he just drank.

Now, it’s up to Sookie and Bill, the official Area Five investigator, to solve the murder. Sookie thinks that, at least this time, the dead girl’s fate has nothing to do with her. But she is wrong. She has an enemy, one far more devious than she would ever suspect, who’s out to make Sookie’s world come crashing down.

I wasn't expecting it but DEADLOCKED was much better than some of the previous books especially Book 11 DEAD RECKONING.

There isn't a ton to say about DEADLOCKED since we all know the writing style of the series and the way the characters fit in but here are a few thoughts.. Ive been really disappointed with Eric, why is Eric such an idiot lately? I cant tell if he really wants to be with Sookie anymore and vice versa. They seem to have grown apart. I love that some old characters are brought up. Sookie ends up with a lot of soul searching moments as she tries to figure out what she really, truly wants out of her life.

Who will Sookie end up with? I now can't imagine Sookie ending up with Eric because he is a giant idiot, Can no longer see her having a relationship with Bill, but I will say that I will be really sad if Sookie ends up with Sam. I just don't see them as more then best friends. Maybe she will end up alone or with a new character? I still cant wait to see how the series ends with book 13 DEAD EVER AFTER.

I gave it 4/5 stars
