Interview: Revelations by Pam Daniell

UFI welcomes  Pam Daniell. Thanks for Joining us!!

What can you tell my readers about yourself that they might not know from looking on your bio or reading in another interview?
That I’m a huge fan of the TV show Supernatural. I’ve been watching since season one, episode one and I’ve never missed an episode.
What do you enjoy doing on your down time?
If and when I do manage to get some downtime I enjoy reading.
What is your favorite part of writing?
My favorite part of writing is being able to escape the real world for a little while and create a world all my own.
Do you have any certain routines you must follow as you write?
I don’t really have a routine, but my best ideas seem to come at night.
What are some of your favorite books or Authors in the Urban/Fantasy/Paranormal Genres?
Right now I’m reading Surrender, the third book in the Haunting Emma Series by Lee Nichols. I also enjoyed The Guardian of Bastat by Jaqueline M. Battisti and The Shadow Sport Series by Ethan Cobb.

How would you pitch Revelations to someone who has not heard of it before?

Jenna’s mother always told her the truth… except about who she really is?
Can you tell us a little about the world Revelations is set in?
Revelations is set in real time.
Do you have a favorite scene on Revelations?
I would have to say my favorite scene was when Jenna and Dylan are roasting marshmallows.
Which character was your favorite to write about? What was the hardest to write about?=
My favorite and hardest was Jenna herself, because I had to show her coming to terms with her true heritage while struggling with being a teenager and having to create her own unique path in life.
What other projects can we look forward to reading from you?

I am currently working on Defiance, book two in the Revelations Series.

One bite can change you.
And one kiss can change your destiny...

Nadya Dalca has been handed a death sentence. She's been bitten by the last living genetically enhanced werewolf―part of the Nero Organization's disastrous Moonlight project. With the poisonous blood now coursing through her system and pushing her to the limits, it is only a matter of time before Nadya's fate is sealed...

Gareth Takoda told himself he couldn't get involved. Caught up in a maelstrom of grief and bitterness, he has been isolating himself from his Pack. But when he is charged with watching over Nadya's first transformation―or bear witness should it go horribly wrong―Gareth is torn further by unwanted desire and the need to protect what is his.

One kiss changes everything. One shattering, all-consuming kiss. And with it, Nadya and Gareth face either salvation...or death.

We know of both Nadya and Gareth from the previous two books in the Moon series, but BLOOD MOON brings their story to the front as they find out they're mates and fight to find a way to save Nadya from the death sentence that the bite in book two cursed her with.

I ended up liking Nadya quite a bit. The strength that she shows while going through what she is going through was absolutely inspiring. Her determination and stubbornness shines through in pretty much every chapter of BLOOD MOON. Gareth is still in a lot of pain over the loss of his twin brother. He has isolated himself from his pack and is ready for a fresh start. As soon as he touches Nadya he knows that she is his mate, but he can't stand the thought of losing one more person in his life. I really enjoyed how Nadya and Gareth fit together. They both end up healing each other and growing stronger together, but there is a lot of struggle to get there.

I was able to read BLOOD MOON pretty quickly. It didn't seem to involve as much as the previous books in the series did, but it was still enjoyable and i felt like I knew the characters pretty well by the end. I liked the addition of Gareth's ancestral stories and they way that they played into the book. I would have liked to see there story fill a few more pages, but I was happy to get what I got. I'm excited to see who's story is next and to hopefully see them make a dent in Nero and the troubles they are causing the pack.

I gave it 4/5 stars
